Ring Of Fire

Mooooorning people! I woke awoke this morning from my slumber to absolute silence - the rain had stopped!! Hurrah! Cause for celebration don't you think? I took this quite literally, made myself a coffee and began blogging....(that's what a constitute as celebratory behaviour).

Sooo, after a busy few weeks and lots of inspiration, we're turning our thoughts to the amazing fireplaces - old and new - that happily sit as the focal point of our living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens...or wherever! We've seen a huge mix of fantastic ideas; unique colour combinations, classic shapes and contemporary styles, so here's a peek at our faves....

Milan is not only the fashion capital of the world, but also home to the amazing Salone Internazionale del Mobile. Celebrating its 51st exhibition this week, the biggest furniture trade fair of it’s kind hit the ground running with a fantastic collection of high quality goods destined for the global market. I had a gander at some of the designers and their fabulous products after the show wrapped up yesterday and thought I'd let you in on the hype and share my Top 5..

This eye-popping Qvarto sofa from Bla Station designed by Borge Lindau is a beautiful piece of furniture. You can use each piece independently or together! It also comes in some brilliant patterns and colours.

Bright Ideas

As promised - my top pick of the best bits for your home...
Get NEON'd up people!..

80's Throw Back

Tried and most certainly tested in the 80’s, neon wasn’t exactly everybody’s cup of tea, but over the past year we have seen it come flooding back into our lives.  Prada’s Milan Fashion Week Show saw an array of fluorescent colourful hues in their Spring collection and is now being found in homes all over the globe...and not just in the form of a highlighter pen.

Here’s a look at how you can bring this eye-popping phenomena into your home…

Fancy adding a splash of neon to your own home?? Tomorrow is your lucky day - I'll be posting my very own moodboard of my pick of the hottest neons in town  - so watch this space!

Something for the Weekend...

Does anyone else have a tray obsession?...Or is it just us?? We'd really quite like to know. It's not your run-of-the-mill obsession, we're aware of that, but is it acceptable to obsess over such a handy kitchen accessory?

Big, small, colourful, chic, modern, vintage - you name it, we love it. Here's a few we've been drooling over recently whilst mentally placing our cuppa and biccie upon them...

Divine Inspiration!

Don't you just LOVE it when you come across someone who is wonderfully inspirational....?! We're always on the lookout for gifted and talented individuals to inspire us daily and help us to share ideas and creations... So you can imagine how happy we were when we came across fellow stylist and photographer Pia Jane Bijkerk. She's one of those 'one-offs' that don't come about too often. Her sense of style and relaxed approach is clear in her work. Mixing old with new and adding splashes of colour and simple touches really make all the difference - loving your work Pia!

Here's a few of her pics to give you an idea...
